Cabin Doctor, LLC. is a privately held NJ LLC. Licensed and insured in the state of NJ as remodeling contractors. We work strictly on log homes. We do restorations, staining, additions, remodeling, consultations and inspections. We are a family business consisting of 2 principal players.
Scott Alvik (Resident Logologist) is the president and owner. Scott has been involved in the log construction business ever since he built his own log home in 1998. We have built 6 homes and 5 additions to date. From the beginning, we have strived to serve the log home industry coming to specialize in the repair and restoration of older log homes.
Danielle Alvik, (Office Manager) Wife, Mother and Office Manager. Danielle is our bookkeeper, stenographer, file clerk, dmv clerk, and is there for home base support while we are in the field.
All our workers are direct payroll, insured and speak English. We carry Liability and workman's comp on all our people. We even offer our employees health insurance. We strive to do the work on your home as if it was our own and our employees are an extension of that. Each of our employees are there to learn a trade, not to simply get a paycheck.
We are the only licensed and insured contractor restoring log homes in NJ. In 2005, NJ legislation mandated that all contractors doing business in the state register with the state. This was done to protect homeowners from unscrupulous contractors. There are log home restoration companies working in NJ without this registration. They come from NY and PA.
